WHAT TYPE OF STUDENT ARE YOU?
Choose Your Stream.
At TIFTPA, we want all our students to succeed and move at their own pace. Every student curates their path with the assistance of their teacher to achieve their desired artistic goal(s). To aid this process, we created three principle streams. See which stream suits you*.
*Choosing a stream does not define you but rather helps you achieve your goal quicker.
ENTHUSIAST
(en.thu.si.ast | / ɛnˈθu ziˌæst, -ɪst /)
An individual that has an interest in a performing arts discipline that they would like to explore at their leisure.
They are usually hobbyists who have no interest in pursuing the art professionally OR are new to the performing arts discipline and would like to dabble and figure out if it is something they are into and would want to take more seriously.
At TIFTPA, you will have access to a variety of courses that would move at your pace and allow you to experiment and try a bit of everything… an A La Carte experience albeit. Private instruction will be scholarly engineered to meet a student’s aptitude level and age.
There is no age restriction.
PRE-PROFESSIONAL
(pre.pro.fes.sion.al | /pri-prəˈfeSH(ə)n(ə)l/)
An individual that is committed to honing a performing arts skill set through focused and intense training with the goal of pursuing such at a tertiary level school and/or as a professional career.
They are usually students in performing arts programs at middle school to the university level; individuals who have natural potential and show great promise in their craft; individuals who are willing to work hard and put in a lot of time and effort to get to that professional level.
This progressive level program is designed for the student wishing to be challenged and develop advanced skills. Students must take a set number of courses within the progressive levels. Each level will be culminated with a recital performance/jury.
Minimum Age:
Kids (10-12)*
Teens (13 - 17)
Adults (18+)
* Special exceptions can be made if the student is younger than the ages provided above.
PROFESSIONAL
(pro.fes.sion.al | /prəˈfeSH(ə)n(ə)l/)
An individual that has honed their performing arts skill set and is actively a member of their field or retired. Any professional would tell you, the learning process never stops. So from time to time, you may feel the need to “fine-tune” your skill or pick up a new one.
At TIFTPA, we cater to this as well and have an experienced faculty of teachers who can meet your needs.
We also understand that as an active professional, scheduling could be an issue. We will accommodate your requests as best as we can even if it is last minute. We also maintain a strict client confidentiality policy for those that are in the public eye over the average professional.
