In this virtual class, you will learn about acting for film & tv, while you meet other enthusiastic young actors! Enjoy working on improvisation, scenes and monologues and develop the skills and understanding of what it takes to have good camera presence.
You will explore creating characters and scenarios, as well as learn how to work from a script, as you interact with other young actors on the Zoom platform.
This virtual class will produce a short on-camera piece that will be recorded during the last class. This program will stimulate the imagination and help develop the necessary skills needed to succeed in acting and each term will have different content.
Grades 6 - 10
Wednesday: 4:30PM - 6:00PM (EST)
Spring Semester: March 24 - June 16 (12 weeks) - $430 + HST
*No classes on April 14th.
In this virtual class, you will learn on-camera acting techniques, while exploring scene study, acting for TV commercials, preparing for auditions and techniques on how to approach monologue work. Character development, improvisation and group exercises will help students discover their unique talents.
Understanding the concepts of good storytelling for the camera and properly using the camera frame will be addressed. Class work will be recorded, viewed, and critiqued.
This program will stimulate the imagination and help develop the necessary skills needed to succeed in acting and on-camera performance and presentations. Each term will have different content.
